Youth is any community’s future and the COnwy Valley Rotary Club plays a part in helping the young in the area.
Our youth committee looks after the youth activities that we are involved in such as :
- helping at the mock interviews held at Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy each year;
- Paying for places on the RYLA outward bound courses;
- Giving prizes for students at local schools such as the Ivor Owen award for top achievers at GCSE level in Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy and the Bill Sudbury award for 100% attendance at Ysgol Bro Gwydir;
- Providing “Dictionaries for Life” to year 6 pupils and Ysgol Bro Gwydir and Ysgol Eglwysbach at the end of their primary school days (and to year 7 pupils at Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy pupils unit).
